The Indian Navy has officially launched its recruitment drive for Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Executive (Information Technology) Branch — Jan 27 Course. Both men and women candidates can apply, and the application window is already open.

What Is This Recruitment About?
The Indian Navy is offering 15 commissioned officer posts in its IT branch. Selected candidates will be inducted as Sub Lieutenants and will undergo a six-week Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala, starting January 2027.
Who Can Apply?
Graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related engineering fields with a minimum 60% aggregate are eligible. Final year students can also apply. The age bracket is 01 January 2002 to 01 July 2007.
Salary & Service
Selected officers will draw a starting basic pay of ₹56,100/- per month along with Navy allowances. The initial service commitment is 10 years, extendable up to a maximum of 14 years.
